Kindon State School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our Education Support Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified education support professional to work collaboratively with teachers to provide high-quality support to students.
- Must have formal qualifications in education support, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Primary (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in planning, observing and reporting on student learning and behaviours.
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is essential.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a growth-focused mindset are required.
- Respect for individual learning needs, community focus and fostering child-centred partnerships are also necessary.
- Support the implementation of the Australian Curriculum in line with departmental priorities and individual student needs.
- Assist teachers to plan, resource, and facilitate learning using quality resources.
- Interact with children to foster a love of learning through a growth mindset and development of independent problem-solving.
- Prepare and manage learning materials, supervise small-group activities, playground duties, and aid with administrative tasks such as photocopying and resource organisation.
- Support positive behaviour management and inclusive classroom environments.
- Engage respectfully with families and the community while maintaining confidentiality and following Education Queensland policies.
