The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our premier Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will work closely with leading Partners and Lawyers across our Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney offices, remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert advice on employment law and industrial relations matters to blue-chip clients across multiple sectors.
- Run matters and supervise and develop team members, as well as develop further business opportunities with existing and new clients.
- Take on a key role in the practice group and work closely with our talented team to provide employment law advice on workforce strategy, employment aspects of large-scale M&A and projects transactions, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, industrial action, payroll compliance, general protections, and all types of Fair Work Commission and anti-discrimination proceedings.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in delivering advice on a range of employment law and industrial relations matters from a leading top-tier private practice, government, or in-house environment.
- Excellent academic record, strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Active role in the team's strategic business development objectives.
- Strong skills and experience in providing strategic advice on workforce strategy, employment aspects of large-scale M&A transactions, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, industrial action, general protections, and all types of Fair Work Commission proceedings.
- Hunger to learn, develop, and maintain a market-leading practice.

The Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety team in Australia provides specialist expertise on all legal matters impacting the employment relationship. We advise employers on a range of litigious, advisory, and transactional matters, including employment, industrial relations, discrimination and equal opportunity, work health and safety, crisis management, incident response, board and executive matters, and workplace training.
