Job Description:

Aircraft Mechanic III is responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. The incumbent will apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.">
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair.">
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers.">
  • Ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.">
  • Working knowledge of making entries in aircraft logbooks & records, military technical publications, and the Army's Unit Level Logistics Aviation Information System.">
  • Valid up-to-date A&P license and five years aviation maintenance experience.">
  • Five years rotary wing aircraft experience.">
  • All experience must be within the ten most recent years.">
