Job Opportunity: Indigenous Education Leader

The position of Indigenous Education Leader is established to amplify Indigenous knowledge systems and perspectives across the school's teaching, research and partnership agenda.

This senior academic appointment plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and cultural responsiveness of initial teacher education programs and building sustainable pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and educators.

  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to institutional change

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading educational programs that prioritize Indigenous perspectives and knowledge
  • Building partnerships with schools, communities and industry to enhance Indigenous education and teacher training
  • Conducting research that contributes to the field of Indigenous education and teacher training
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Expertise in teacher education and Indigenous education
  • Experience in developing and leading educational programs
  • Strong capacity to build collaborative partnerships with schools, communities and industry
  • Ability to contribute to our renewal and broader strategic goals
