The Principal Transport Planner will lead project delivery, manage teams, drive business development, participate in industry activities, and support the management of the Integrated Transport & Mobility team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Delivery: Lead project delivery and project management for transport planning and assessment projects.
  2. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance on large strategic consulting and design projects to deliver excellent transport outcomes and consultancy services.
  3. Business Development: Drive business development, identify opportunities, and support the winning of projects.
  4. Team Management: Support management of the Integrated Transport & Mobility team, including team development, growth, and building technical capability in transport planning.
  5. Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior resources, promote knowledge sharing in a team environment, and foster cross-geography relationships to maximise benefits of global delivery.
Requirements:
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication, commercial awareness, business development skills, and ability to prepare proposals and work with clients.
  • Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of the local environment and the Western Australian transport sector.
  • Transport Planning: Knowledge and application of transport planning concepts and tasks.
  • Interfaces: Understanding of the interfaces between transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling, and infrastructure design.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management of studies, assessments, and other technical activities in a commercial environment.
