Health, Safety and Environment Manager

This is a challenging role for an experienced professional in the field of health, safety and environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements across all projects.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Clients Services:
- Represent the business professionally in all external dealings and communicate HSE compliance requirements to trade contractors and stakeholders.
- Resolve client issues relating to HSE promptly and efficiently.
- Project Delivery:
- Attend pre-start meetings and define HSE responsibilities for projects, develop site management plans and ensure legal compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on issues to ensure a safe working environment.
- Systems and Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with company HSE management systems and lead regular reviews of HSE performance and systems.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment or a related field are essential.
- A minimum of 5 years' construction industry experience in HSE roles is required.
- A strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
