Portfolio Strategist

As a Portfolio Strategist, you will play a key role in shaping investment strategies and client outcomes across a dynamic business. You will work closely with clients, portfolio managers, and sales teams to contribute to strategic investment decisions and deliver tailored consulting solutions.

You will be exposed to a wide range of asset classes and investment structures, with opportunities to lead client engagements, develop market insights, and grow your career in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including investment committee meetings, and manage follow-up communications.
  • Take responsibility for assigned client relationships, including account management and responding to ad-hoc investment queries.
  • Lead sector-specific research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of fund managers, investment processes, and products.
  • Support the sales team with prospective consulting clients, including participating in meetings and preparing documentation.
  • Produce high-quality client materials such as presentations, quarterly reports, and market commentary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to aid with trading, client reporting, monitoring portfolios for mandate compliance, and contributing to the development of investment content.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in investment research, financial planning, or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to communicate complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • A sound understanding of portfolio construction, investment structures, and financial markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally experience with CRM systems.
  • A finance or business degree and RG146 compliance, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing training and study.
