Senior Policy and Projects Officer

This role is part of a program of reform to enhance the domestic and family violence service system, focusing on improving safety and wellbeing of victim-survivors.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement complex policy and program reforms across the Department of Communities and Justice.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to determine issues, develop solutions and manage stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake cross-agency systems reforms to support an integrated, whole-of-Government response to domestic and family violence.
  • Provide strategic program management and support for a state-wide domestic and family violence program.
  • Test, refine and implement the CARAS framework to ensure victim-survivors receive a safe and consistent response across the NSW service sector.
  • Develop and enhance DV Notify in collaboration with stakeholders using human-centred and design thinking approaches.
  • Consider information sharing provisions, including feasibility studies for establishing a Central Information Point or other mechanism to support information sharing.
  • Conduct research to inform the design of new or reformed service offerings, including consideration of specialist services for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong skills and experience in systems thinking, policy development, reform and implementation, project management, program management, and design thinking.
