Refinery Maintenance Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our team at a major refinery in Western Australia's northern Goldfields.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance of a vast array of equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, blowers, compressors, vacuum pumps, tanks, pressure vessels, flash vessels, thickeners and clarifiers, solvent extraction, ammonium sulphate plant, reduction autoclaves, nickel and cobalt sintering furnaces, and oxygen autoclaves.

A critical aspect of this role is ensuring all planned maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and in the shortest time frame. The incumbent will also oversee all area ongoing maintenance, lead and support coordinators and supervisors in their daily activities, and provide clear and supportive leadership to the team.

This position would suit a detail-oriented individual with a mechanical engineering degree or mechanical trades certificate, successful completion of an approved WHS risk management unit, evidence of passing an applicable legislation examination, extensive experience within a complex metallurgical plant environment, and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a supervisor or worker in a similar operation or industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience in safety, quality, environmental and maintenance management systems, managing costs and budgeting, and be able to provide clear and supportive leadership to the team.
