
Aboriginal Palliative Care Specialist

This is a permanent full-time position working in Palliative Care. The successful candidate will work with clinicians, community-based service providers, patients and families to promote respectful and culturally appropriate palliative and end-of-life care for Aboriginal people.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide non-clinical services including cultural and medical advocacy
- Promote respectful and culturally appropriate palliative and end-of-life-care for Aboriginal people
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, community-based service providers, patients and families
- Relevant qualifications relating to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Care
- Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people in relation to illness, grief and loss and Aboriginal social and emotional wellbeing
- Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to maintain
