We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef to join our team at Mei Wei, a renowned culinary destination at The Star Gold Coast. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock Management: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in all food prepared and presented to our guests.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the skills of our Commis' and Apprentice Chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven track record of success in a 5-star environment or large restaurant, with a deep understanding of kitchen operations and management.
  • Work Rights and Availability: Possess full work rights and be flexible to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Quality Focus: Demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional quality and consistency, with a keen desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
