Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Expertise: Deliver engaging instruction that fosters music appreciation across diverse styles, genres, and cultures.
  • Classroom Management: Organise and maintain classroom resources, including instruments and audio equipment, to support an effective learning environment.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students during rehearsals, performances, and music-related excursions, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and broader school initiatives.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through practical, written, and aural evaluations; provide feedback and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Music Education or Master of Teaching (Secondary).
  • Working with Children Check: Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Ongoing Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining NESA accreditation.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Willingness to assist with lunch/playground supervision and student pick-up/drop-off.
  • Availability: Availability to attend school events outside regular hours.
