Geologist Leadership Role

This is a senior-level geology position responsible for conducting thorough assessments of mineral resources and providing technical guidance to teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and/or audit Mineral Resource Statements of mines or projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on technical support, including mentoring and training staff when required, to enhance team capabilities.
  • Develop and implement high-level 3D mine design and planning strategies for assessment of Mineral Resource prospects.
  • Contribute to financial evaluations of mineral projects, considering resource and exploration potential, as well as costs.
  • Perform project site visits and collaborate with external consultants to gather essential information.
  • Compose detailed written inputs to due diligence reports, based on review of geology and mineral resources.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through thorough assessments and strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in 3D Mineral Resource modeling and estimation, with a strong understanding of relevant software.
  • Significant experience in project due diligence, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Expertise in project risk profiling and mitigation, with the ability to identify and address potential challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the capacity to work effectively within a multi-discipline technical team.
  • Excellent review and report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Project Management expertise, with a focus on meeting timelines and delivering results.
  • Fluency in English, with a strong preference for bilingual or multilingual candidates.
  • BSc (Hons) Geology Degree is a mandatory requirement, along with professional registration with a recognized body.
  • Minimum 5 years of validated experience in exploration geology and/or mining geology, with a strong portfolio of achievements.
