Austal is currently seeking a skilled Painter Blaster to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general labouring, preparation and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting and blasting, as well as strong safety focus and the ability to use general tools safely.

Key Responsibilities- Assist Painters/Blasters with sanding, painting, and blasting.
- Perform confined space entry sentry and fire sentry duties.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, minimising waste in all forms.
- Trade certified or experienced in industrial painting/blasting.
- Ability to use general tools safely.
- White Card.
- Previous painting or blasting experience desirable.
- Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening required as part of onboarding.
