About the Position

CSF Industries is looking for an experienced Industrial Painting Supervisor to work in our Cairns Coatings division (CSF Coatings). You will plan production and manage the  blasting and painting team to ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved. You will ensure all employees are working efficiently, effectively,  and to ensure that all items are painted on time and to the specified quality requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to move from the FIFO lifestyle into a Cairns based senior leadership position.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Cert III in surface preparation & coating or equivalent desirable
  • NACE qualification desirable
  • Drivers Licence

What you will bring to us:

  • Experience in applying protective paint systems to manufactured steel items, specifically fabricated structural steel used in the construction industry
  • Experience applying inorganic zinc paint system
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience with managing and direction of staff
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Dedicated and enthusiastic
  • Keen to learn with a willingness for self-improvement
  • The ability to work autonomously

Your duties will include:

  • Team management and coordination
  • Conduct daily pre-starts
  • Industrial Spraying
  • Steel/Paint preparation
  • General set up and clean up
  • Supervise and apply all types of protective coatings
  • Quality control checks
  • Working within project time constraints
