About the Role

As a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance and repairs of light and heavy vehicles and plant at a remote facility. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of diesel generator mechanics, diesel fitters, auto electricians, mechanical fitters, crane mechanics, and local trade assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Resolve problems and perform necessary maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
  • Supervise and train relevant workers in health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Oversight all repairs to ensure that work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment, ensuring proper storage.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance work and safety inspections as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to ensure safety and best practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High level of cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Experience working cross-culturally with complex clients.
  • Social responsibility with high standards of personal honesty and integrity.
  • Trade qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and effective budgeting.
  • Possess strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound level of fitness.
  • Experience in a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) MEX and similar programs.
  • Working with children certification.
  • Australian Federal Police check and full physical and health assessment.
  • Covid-19 vaccination and booster.
