
Vehicle Maintenance Leadership Opportunity

As a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance and repairs of light and heavy vehicles and plant at a remote facility. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team of diesel generator mechanics, diesel fitters, auto electricians, mechanical fitters, crane mechanics, and local trade assistants.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain productive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Resolve problems and perform necessary maintenance in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
- Supervise and train relevant workers in health and safety regulations and practices.
- Oversight all repairs to ensure that work is completed on time.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment, ensuring proper storage.
- Conduct preventative maintenance work and safety inspections as scheduled.
- Collaborate with other service lines to ensure safety and best practice.
- High level of cross-cultural communication skills.
- Experience working cross-culturally with complex clients.
- Social responsibility with high standards of personal honesty and integrity.
- Trade qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and effective budgeting.
- Possess strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound level of fitness.
- Experience in a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) MEX and similar programs.
- Working with children certification.
- Australian Federal Police check and full physical and health assessment.
- Covid-19 vaccination and booster.
