Dam Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Dam Engineer to contribute to the design and construction of dams across Australia. With our industry-leading Dams team, you will work on complex and high-impact projects, collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally to develop sustainable water solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Geotechnical and embankment dam engineering
  • Inspection and condition assessment of existing dams
  • Scoping and undertaking geotechnical investigations, including interpretation of foundation conditions and characterising the engineering properties of foundation and construction materials
  • Construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data, and construction reporting
  • Preparation of tenders and proposals, and providing mentoring

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
  • Demonstrated capability in geotechnical and embankment design, including preparation of design reports, design drawings, and specifications (ideally within the dam industry)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and the local industry
