About This Role

We are seeking a strategic Human Resources professional to lead our HR function, taking full ownership of end-to-end operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a close-knit environment and deliver practical solutions that balance tradition with future growth.

Responsibilities
  • Performance Management and Coaching: Develop and implement effective performance management systems to drive employee success.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, including interviewing and selecting top talent, as well as implementing a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Development Pathways: Create opportunities for employee growth and development, aligning with business objectives.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Develop and maintain policies that ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Award Interpretation and Return-to-Work Coordination: Provide expert guidance on award interpretation and coordinate return-to-work programs.
  • Payroll Support and Workforce Planning: Manage payroll processes and develop strategies for effective workforce planning.
Requirements
  • Strong HR Generalist Experience: A proven track record in HR generalist roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Confidence in IR/ER Matters and Injury Management: Demonstrated expertise in Industrial Relations and Employment Relations, as well as injury management.
  • Familiarity with Payroll Systems and Modern Awards: Proficiency in payroll systems and modern awards.
  • Practical, Personable Approach with Strong Relationship-Building Skills: A collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant HR Qualification or Equivalent Experience: A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in HR.
