Job Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance to join a highly reputed industry super fund as an Investment Risk and Compliance Professional.

The role involves supporting senior investment risk and compliance leaders to deliver, develop and support the investment risk and compliance framework.

As a key member of the team, you will assist in enhancing the investment risk and compliance frameworks, monitoring changes in legal and prudential regulations and ensuring the business adapts to new compliance rules and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, resolve and report all Investment Mandate Agreement (IMA) compliance matters;
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to develop and implement IMA compliance guidelines with custodians;
  • Develop, implement and deliver effective risk management assessments across investments and operational teams;
  • Review and update risk and compliance policies, programs and procedures, providing advice to key clients and stakeholders within the business in line with relevant standards;
  • Undertake Operational Due Diligence assessments of investment managers and prepare written reports and recommendations;
  • Assist in design, development, delivery and maintenance of the Compliance Program; and Coordinate breach and risk reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience in senior investment-related roles, with at least 3-5 years' experience within Investment Compliance Management;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics or a similar discipline;
  • A deep understanding of the Australian and international funds management industry and investment market;
  • Knowledge of Investments legal and regulatory requirements e.g. AIST and APRA;
  • A strong ability to multitask and work to deadlines, with a high level of motivation and a strong work ethic;
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills;
