About the RoleA leading business in the energy sector has partnered with Lutech to find an experienced Associate Payroll Specialist for their Perth office.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end payroll activities, including processing employee and statutory payments, payroll-related accounting, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll activities from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
- Administer assigned payroll tasks, such as vendor invoice processing.
- Maintain adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Cultivate a positive team environment.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyze payroll accounts.
- Update time data and pay period adjustments in the payroll system.
- Verify payroll calculations/payments.
- Coordinate salary transfers to employee bank accounts.
- Respond to employee queries on payroll payments.
- Prepare final statements for terminated employees.
- Reconcile payroll accounts monthly.
- Coordinate tax deposits to relevant authorities.
- Compile annual withholding taxes returns.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in payroll and knowledge of international payroll.
- High standard of working practice, quality, productivity, and compliance with business conduct.
- Familiarity with all aspects of payroll processing.
- Ability to perform gross to net calculations and resolve general ledger issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to multitask.
