A leading role is available for a highly skilled and visionary architect to shape the transformation of public and private spaces into vibrant areas where people want to be.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion innovative architectural expression in urban development across various regions.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality, community-focused spaces and buildings.
  • Provide expert guidance on architectural excellence, heritage conservation, and sustainable design principles.
  • Work closely with planning, property, and project teams to develop civic buildings, parks, and streetscapes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Urban Design, Heritage Conservation or equivalent fields, combined with significant experience working with diverse stakeholders to enhance urban design outcomes.
  • Membership/accreditation with professional bodies such as the Australian Institute of Architects or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in heritage and urban design matters within local government arenas.
  • Experience in reviewing and commenting on scope and design from various stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
  • Leadership experience in strategic planning and design functions.
