About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Systems Engineer to join our operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an expert-level professional to make a significant impact on the delivery of enterprise systems within our organization.

This role requires a strong technical background in Linux system administration and engineering, with a focus on Red Hat OS. As a Senior Linux Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the technical landscape, analysing complex technical challenges, and developing solutions to continually deliver services.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining the reliability and security of our IT systems, including work across various technologies, particularly Linux based.
  • Log, track, manage and report support items in line with customer SLAs.
  • Investigate, determine the cause of and resolve support issues directly, in collaboration with others internally and/or through the engagement and management of internal and external service providers.
  • Implement maintenance activities as required, which may include directly performing and/or working with internal/external service providers.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and regular on-call roster.


About You
We are looking for a talented individual with a strong skill set in infrastructure-as-code deployments and tooling, network troubleshooting, vulnerability management and remediation processes, and experience in the financial services industry or similar heavily regulated industries. Additionally, previous experience using VMWare tools and Cloud platforms, particularly Azure, will be highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in managing and supporting Linux environments, developing, configuring and supporting Cloud services and environments. They should also possess demonstrated experience with Puppet and Terraform.
