Commissioning & Testing Director

Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and manage commissioning activities across large-scale transmission and substation projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HV substations and transmission lines commissioning, with extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors on major projects.

The role requires effective technical planning, design support, and reporting for commissioning works, as well as the ability to drive project delivery to meet time, cost, scope, and safety obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all commissioning activities for substations, transmission lines, and related assets;
  • Managing commissioning teams and specialist subcontractors across multiple project stages;
  • Ensuring testing and commissioning activities comply with WHS, quality, and environmental requirements;
  • Providing effective technical planning, design support, and reporting for commissioning works;
  • Driving project delivery to meet time, cost, scope, and safety obligations;

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in engineering or a relevant discipline, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and sound commercial, contractual, and risk management knowledge.
