The Central Queensland region is seeking a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional to join our team as a Clinical Specialist in Community Gerontology.
About the RoleThis position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic community setting, providing clinical expertise and support to the provision of care in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
You will be working under the medical governance of the GERI-RaSS Senior Medical Officer, with 20% of your rostered hours allocated off-line from direct clinical duties to support you in working to your full scope of practice.
- This role involves providing clinical guidance and support to aged care staff, enhancing their knowledge and skills in gerontological care.
- You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the complex needs of older adults.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- A relevant qualification in gerontology, palliative care, or chronic disease management would be highly regarded.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including an hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h., employer superannuation contribution, and leave loading.
