Nurse Practitioner Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with endorsements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner to work within our Residential Aged Care Facilities.

  • The role has 20% of its rostered hours allocated off-line from direct clinical duties to support the Nurse Practitioner to work to their full scope of practice.
  • The Nurse Practitioner will work directly with provision of clinical expertise and under the Medical Governance of the GERI-RaSS Senior Medical Officer.
  • They will have an operational reporting line to the GERI/RaSS Nurse Unit Manager, GERI/RaSS Senior Medical Officer and a professional reporting line to the Nursing Director, Patient Flow.

About You:

  • You must be registered and endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and possess a current practicing certificate.
  • You will need to undergo CQ Health's credentialing process for Nurse Practitioners.
  • A relevant qualification in gerontology, palliative care or chronic disease management would be well regarded.
