The role of an Area Manager is a dynamic leadership position that involves overseeing multiple centres and driving high quality care, financial sustainability, and growth across these sites.

This challenging role requires the ability to lead and motivate teams, manage budgets, and make key decisions to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to Work Health and Safety policies and escalate/report serious incidents promptly.
  • Centre Oversight: Oversee multiple centres through regular visits, performance analysis, and 6-point centre plans to drive quality and compliance.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, control overdue debt, and approve payments/timesheets to meet business targets.
  • Quality and Compliance: Collaborate with Quality Advisors to meet/exceed National Quality Standards, uphold cleanliness and safety, and address serious service issues.
  • Occupancy Growth and Workforce Development: Lead occupancy growth, workforce management, and employee development including recruitment, training, performance, and retention.

About You:

  • A proven track record as an Area Manager in early childhood education, with multi-site management essential.
  • Diploma in Business, Children's Services, or equivalent qualification.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
  • Strong leadership, budgeting, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Valid Working with Children Check, current Driver's Licence, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
