Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Night Manager to join our Front Office team at Hilton Hotels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Front Office during night hours, providing exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Office Supervision: Oversee the entire Front Office operation, ensuring that all Team Members are prepared and well-informed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Assist the Front Office Manager in evaluating levels of guest satisfaction and monitoring trends, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as a point of contact for regular and important guests, providing personalized service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Night Audit: Complete Night Audit duties, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Room Occupancy: Maximize room occupancy at best rates, using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Currency and Payment: Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
  • Representation: Represent the Night Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel.
  • Security and Emergency: Act in accordance with all security and emergency procedures, managing the instigation of these as required.
  • Handover: Compile adequate handover to Early staff/Duty Manager.
  • Training and Development: Attend appropriate training courses, when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
  • Equipment and Systems: Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front-of-house equipment and property management systems.
  • Health and Safety: Conduct Health and Safety Checks and Night Walks, maintaining a good status awareness of all hotel areas.
Requirements
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel, leisure, or retail sector.
  • IT Proficiency: Competent level of IT proficiency.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure.
  • Grooming Standards: Excellent grooming standards.
  • Communication Skills: Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
Desirable Capabilities
  • Hotel Industry Experience: Previous experience in the hotel industry.
  • Front Office Management Systems: Previous experience with Front Office Management Systems.
  • Cash Handling: Previous experience with cash handling.
