About the Role

As a Child Protection Caseworker with NSW Government, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Our team is dedicated to working with families to prevent child harm and support them in providing a safe and loving environment for their children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reports of child safety concerns and work collaboratively with other agencies to address these concerns.
  • Develop and implement safety plans to ensure the protection of children and young people.
  • Work with families to identify and address safety and well-being concerns, and provide support to help them overcome hardships.
  • Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court.
  • Engage in professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

About You:

  • You have a strong understanding of child development and the impact of trauma on children and families.
  • You are able to work collaboratively with others, including families, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and are able to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple cases at once.
  • You have a strong commitment to social justice and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
