Quantitative Modelling Role

Our organisation is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Quantitative Modelling team, part of the Market Risk function. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing credit risk models that support strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of application scorecards, behavioural models, and rating models across both retail and non-retail portfolios. You will work closely with business units, regulators, and industry bodies to ensure model governance, regulatory submissions, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and monitor credit risk models (PD, LGD, EAD, scorecards, and rating models)
  • Ensure models meet regulatory and internal governance standards (e.g. IFRS9, Basel)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across risk, finance, and business units to embed models into decision-making processes
  • Build and maintain automated tools and dashboards for model performance tracking and reporting
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and respond to audit and assurance reviews

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of credit risk modelling techniques and regulatory frameworks (IFRS9, Basel)
  • Proficiency in R, SAS, Python, SQL, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced data visualisation and story-telling skills
  • A bachelor or postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Data Science, Econometrics, Actuarial Science)
