About This Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Timber Mill Production Operator to join our team on a Casual basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To play a key part in the production of high-quality timber products.
  • To operate various fix plant machinery including circular and band saws, automatic stacking equipment, gas fired kilns, moulders & robotic packaging lines.
  • To assist with the grading of our products, identifying defects and accurately sawing and measuring.
  • To move, sort and strap timber to process for shipping and delivery.
  • To perform general labouring and timber mill duties including ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis.
  • To manage inventory to ensure a smooth production line with no delays, hold ups issues.
  • To maintain a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site.
Key Requirements:
  • Prior experience in machine operation, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment.
  • A positive attitude at work, being reliable and punctual.
  • A strong commitment to safety is essential.
  • Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable.
  • Physical fitness, with the ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment and produce work to a high standard.
