About the Role

The Academic Support Specialist will work in a team of specialists, supporting teachers and fostering academic growth in identified students across Years 7 to 12. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and enriching students to help them reach their full potential in learning.
  • Collaborating with teachers to foster academic growth in identified students.
  • Providing learning enhancement interventions and contributing to developing Individual Education Plans as appropriate.
Key Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Effective work practices and professional expertise in the learning enhancement field.
  • Extensive knowledge of special education assessment instruments.
  • Ability in learning enhancement techniques in literacy and numeracy; ability to write and review Individual Education Plans.
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications, training, and experience in the assessment and delivery of interventions in student learning.
