Cancer Clinic Coordinator

A dynamic and experienced Medical Secretary is required to join our Oncology clinic team in Frenchs Forest, NSW.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Communication: Directly interact with patients, ensuring exceptional service levels, addressing their needs, and monitoring feedback.
- Clinic Organization: Maintain high organization skills to efficiently manage a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient needs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with external doctors, clinicians, and colleagues, providing top-notch patient care via phone and face-to-face interactions.
- Appointment Scheduling: Anticipate patient requirements, work closely with Consultants and Cancer Nurse Consultants to schedule appointments within suitable timeframes.
- Referral Management: Register new patients, process incoming referrals relevant to the team/doctors, and triage referrals with Cancer Nurse Consultants to understand appointment timelines.
- Consultation Support: Schedule doctor consult appointments, undertake clinic preparation, and ensure electronic medical records are complete before and after visits.
- Clinical Administration: Ensure accurate billing and reports, effectively manage Consultant diaries, and align clinics/schedules.
- Experience: Extensive medical administration experience, medical terminology, and previous work in busy medical clinics.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, providing outstanding patient care and interaction.
- Organisation: Strong organisation and communication skills.
- Independence: Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- Phone Manner: Exceptional phone etiquette and ability to handle high volumes of tasks/enquiries.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills for urgent matters and time-critical medical appointments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office software.
- Collaboration: Collaborative approach working with the wider administration team and internal/external customers, aligned with GenesisCare values.
- Cancer Patient Experience: Desired experience working with cancer patients.
