Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support to our clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Provide support to clients in their daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Transportation Assistance: Assist clients with transportation needs, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at appointments and activities.
  • Respite Care: Provide respite care to clients and their families, offering a much-needed break and allowing them to recharge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, ensuring seamless communication with the care team.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements:
  • Education: A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification: Certificate 2 or 4 in Individual Support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Experience: Lived experience or paid experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Availability: Ability to work day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines, health and safety regulations, and basic care and first aid skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
