Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Point Care Pty Ltd. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Offer transportation assistance to clients, facilitating their access to community resources and activities.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families, offering a much-needed break and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the care team.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, fostering strong relationships and trust.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in Individual Support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
- Availability to work day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
