Australia's energy system and market operator is seeking a highly skilled cyber security professional to support the development and execution of programs to enhance cyber security maturity across grids and markets.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with government authorities and industry stakeholders on effective response to cyber security incidents, enhancing frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift, and promoting a shared understanding of the cyber threat environment.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery and ownership of complex outcomes in support of cyber security initiatives.
- Maintain contacts and engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
- Identify and review cyber security standards applying to critical infrastructure.
- Support review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks and reporting on security preparedness of the sector.
- Assist in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
- Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
- Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience, and cyber security initiatives.
- Effective analysis and communication skills.
- Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
- Ability to travel interstate and work flexible hours.
- Must have an Australian citizenship and ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance.
- Procurement, program, and project management skills.
- Financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource management skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
- Experience with jurisdictional structures and arrangements across State, Territory, and Commonwealth governments with respect to energy and cyber security.
