Sustainable Careers in Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Are you passionate about creating sustainable outcomes on construction sites? We are seeking a Construction Sustainability Coordinator to support our project team in achieving our sustainability objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide advice on sustainability requirements to design, construction, commercial, operational, and other project teams.
  2. Track and monitor progress of sustainability rating submissions.
  3. Compile sustainability rating submissions.
  4. Monitor sustainability reporting requirements and report on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to stakeholders.
  5. Support development and management of environmental & sustainability management systems.
  6. Manage environment & sustainability consultants.
  7. Conduct environmental & sustainability field monitoring and inspections.
  8. Identify and initiate local sustainability improvement initiatives.
  9. Communicate improvements to management processes.
  10. Report on sustainability performance and compliance.
  11. Support project induction and environmental management training.
  12. Promote a positive environmental & sustainability culture.
  13. Adhere to project policies, procedures, and safety legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience working on construction sites.
  • Experience delivering sustainability management plans and targets.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within construction.
  • ISAP and/or GSAP certification; experience with Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) and Green Star Ratings preferred.
