Christian Outdoor Educator

We are seeking a Christian outdoor educator to facilitate quality programs combining outdoor recreation with evangelism, teaching, and discipleship. This role will involve providing instruction on various activities such as sailing, canoeing, abseiling, indoor rock climbing, archery, orienteering, and high and low ropes.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in outdoor recreation (Certificate III level or higher) and experience working with young people. They will also be able to lead and participate in overnight expeditions and demonstrate personal Christian faith.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction on outdoor activities such as sailing, canoeing, and abseiling.
  • Conduct evening and weekend program activities as required.
  • Lead and participate in overnight expeditions.
  • Undertake additional duties to assist in facilitating quality guest service.

You Will Need To Demonstrate:

  • Qualifications in outdoor recreation (Certificate III level or higher).
  • Experience working with young people.
  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organization.

What We Would Really Like You To Have:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Certificate IV in outdoor recreation or working towards it.
  • Remote or wilderness first aid qualification.

Own transport and a current driver's licence are essential due to the location of our conference centers.
