
Emerging Communities Development Manager

About the Opportunity
At a leading water supply and utilities services provider, you will be responsible for planning the provision of services to emerging communities and establishing necessary infrastructure agreements.
This role is key to ensuring engagement of stakeholders to deliver outcomes, working closely with the executive leadership team and managers to develop, implement, and manage internal and external stakeholders in relation to strategic planning and asset reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning long-term infrastructure to service rapidly growing regions
- Leading sustainability efforts and delivering liveable communities on the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions
- Working with councils, state government, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality emerging communities
- Being a leader within the development industry, with a strong network and active participation in industry groups
- Negotiating terms and conditions of water infrastructure agreements to mitigate financial risk while providing reasonable terms for timely progression of planned development
What We Are Looking For

- An engineering degree, ideally civil or environmental, with significant experience within a utilities or an infrastructure environment, and a focus on asset planning
- A strong understanding of infrastructure planning, demand forecasting, and water industry regulatory environment
- Previous experience leading a team is preferable, and the ability to identify where technical, social, or commercial processes need improvement and implement what is required to ensure outcomes are delivered
