About the Role

Ashurst Advance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Consultant to join our Commercial legal team on a 5-month contract. The successful candidate will work full-time, with the option to work 4 days a week. This role is based in Sydney and will involve working on a hybrid basis, with 1-2 days spent in the office.

Job Description:

The Legal Consultant will be responsible for managing commercial contracts, leading negotiations, drafting and amending contracts, and providing exceptional standards of service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial contracts, either from an in-house perspective or in private practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in commercial contracts
  • Proven track record in leading and managing negotiations and drafting/amending contracts
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to the needs of the business
  • Current practising certificate or ability to obtain one immediately
