The primary objective of this role is to lead the evolution towards more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions. To achieve this, you will establish strong relationships with key accounts, power utilities, and end-users in Australia and New Zealand, fostering sales that align with business goals across various market segments.
This position plays a crucial role in growing our business through ANZ and supporting existing customers by developing and executing strategic growth plans for Commercial, Industrial, and Mobile BESS product categories.
You will collaborate with Area Sales Managers to exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget sales targets, including minimum margins, while maintaining a competitive landscape file tracking competitor activity, products, prices, and market movements.
Key responsibilities include creating value for customers by supporting product operation optimization to meet expectations, designing and delivering training materials for internal and external stakeholders, promoting best practices, experience, and knowledge sharing within the team, communicating with local and international stakeholders, engineering, and design teams to ensure product localization meets end-user requirements, identifying key target sectors and industries to secure new business partners, and assisting the product support team with customer needs, feedback, commissioning, and training.
In addition, you will work closely with Marketing and Product Development to enhance marketing strategy and opportunities, representing us at strategic events throughout the year, and reviewing targets monthly, addressing shortfalls, and providing necessary training or support.
To succeed in this role, you must have prior experience in a national technical sales role with achieved targets, ability to manage accounts across different market segments, effectiveness in marketing, promoting, and selling technical products, capacity to manage a call plan and large geographical area in a fast-paced environment, and previous experience with Salesforce, as well as demonstrated knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems, Inverters, EMS, BMS, Solar, and Generators.
Able to work within a team environment and autonomously, project management experience is desirable.
Key performance indicators include achieving target revenue to budget for the product categories and achieving target margin to budget for the product categories.
The incumbent will regularly engage in tasks requiring computer-based work, sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required.
