Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will be a member of the Category Procurement Team, reporting directly to the Category Procurement Manager. The role will support the Procurement Manager and wider Procurement team, working on the sourcing of goods and services across nominated categories.

This includes:

  • Managing quotes, tenders, purchase requisitions; orders and securing goods and services that deliver the best overall commercial value;
  • Negotiating pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers;
  • Supervisor relationship management; performance reporting, reviews and materials management;
  • Driving cost reductions and increasing value for money while championing opportunities for improvement;
Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A qualification in Business, Procurement or Supply Chain related fields;
  • Proven experience in end-to-end procurement preferably within a multinational company;
  • Ability to demonstrate experience across all Procurement fundamentals - sourcing, tendering, contracts, market research analysis, reporting and negotiations;
  • Strong understanding of indirect costs associated with Capital Expenditure, Plant & Equipment, Tools;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Drive continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance;
  • Build supplier relationships and drive partnerships and collaboration at all levels;
  • Preferably experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools and in e-Sourcing Tool;
  • Ability to establish and embed a strong negotiation and consultation skill set;
