Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer Position Overview

The role of Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer is a critical position within our Engineering Design Team in Perth. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering projects that meet high-quality standards and are completed on time.

  • Coordinate design efforts to achieve satisfactory project performance and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop technical documents required for procurement and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with Project Controls personnel to ensure seamless project execution and communication.
  • Participate in Model Review, Design Review, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Senior Design Engineer in engineering contracting or consultancy organisations, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, or Infrastructure / Utilities sectors.
  • Proven Australian experience in piping design, including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases.
  • Extensive experience in Detailed design, re-design, re-rating of the piping, design modification, alterations to existing plant, Pipe stress analysis, Fluid Induced Vibrations (FIV) analysis, and Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV) analysis.
  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems and procedures.
