Grounds Maintenance Specialist

This role involves ensuring the establishment and maintenance of horticultural, landscaping, and turf management services. If you have experience in landscaping, horticulture, and outdoor work, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Duties:
  • Assisting with the setup and upkeep of horticultural, landscaping, and turf management systems;
  • Operating a wide range of horticultural equipment and machinery, including tractors and other heavy machinery;
  • Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained in a clean, safe, and workable condition;
  • Preparing and planting garden beds and landscapes to achieve visually appealing results;
  • Mowing, brush-cutting, and edging parks, reserves, and open spaces to maintain a high level of quality.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Knowledge and experience in current horticultural practices and equipment use, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly methods;
  • An understanding of safe working practices and Work Health & Safety issues, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients;
  • Experience working as part of a small team, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed;
  • Manual work experience, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

The ideal candidate will hold a Cert III or higher in Horticulture and possess a valid MR Class Driver's License.

Candidates must also meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Hold a C Class Driver's License;
  • Be eligible to work full-time in Australia;
  • Possess a valid Construction Induction Card (White / Blue Card).
