Gardens and Grounds Maintenance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Gardens and Grounds Maintenance Specialist. As part of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out general household/commercial garden and lawn maintenance work across the Bayswater region.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in property maintenance or garden maintenance, with extensive knowledge of relevant equipment operation. They will also have physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements, sound communication and negotiation skills, and sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.

About the Role

This role involves working independently and as part of a small team to complete tasks in alignment with instructions from Team Leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of gardening, lawn care and grounds maintenance, including:

  • General gardening duties, including lawn mowing, pruning and weeding;
  • Maintenance of gardens, lawns and other outdoor areas;
  • Assisting the Team Leader to build positive team relationships and reflect the company values;
  • Providing support to supported employees to develop new skills and achieve their employment goals.

We are looking for someone who is physically fit, has a valid driver's licence and is confident in towing a trailer. A current NDIS Worker Check and National Police Check are also required.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background in property maintenance or garden maintenance;
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant equipment operation;
  • Physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements;
  • Sound communication and negotiation skills;
  • Sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work;
  • A valid driver's licence;
  • Confidence in towing a trailer;
  • A current NDIS Worker Check;
  • A National Police Check.
