Operations Manager- Structural Steel

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the production, warehousing and distribution of structural steel in our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff across shifts to ensure smooth operations
  • Analyze and optimize processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Deliver results and meet deadlines under pressure with a solution-focused mindset
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of all staff within your scope
  • Provide guidance, training and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance and behaviors
  • Lead a positive, encouraging culture through genuine leadership

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Knowledge of the steel, building or construction industries is preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of warehousing and distribution activities
  • Knowledge of processing equipment
  • Transport and logistics experience is highly regarded
  • Understanding of Work, Health & Safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong computer and time management skills
  • Ability to lead, manage and coach a team to meet objectives
