Key Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing Specialist to drive software compliance and optimization across our growing technology portfolio. The role combines strategic vendor management with hands-on software asset management to support continued growth and innovation.

  • Analyse and document software licensing agreements, ensuring clear records of entitlement positions.
  • Monitor and calculate software consumption using SAM tools, tracking metrics for accurate usage measurement.
  • Generate and maintain Effective Licensing Positions (ELPs) for key vendors by comparing entitlements against actual usage.
  • Conduct regular software usage audits through user surveys, direct stakeholder engagement, and data analysis.
  • Manage and maintain the SAM tool environment, ensuring proper configuration and updates for accurate licensing tracking.
  • Provide proactive licensing advisory services to business stakeholders, helping them understand compliance requirements and optimization opportunities.
  • Investigate and resolve data anomalies, licensing discrepancies, and compliance issues through detailed analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Your Ideal Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will require prior experience in Software Asset Management, SAM Tools, and major software vendor experience. You should also be able to self-motivate and work both autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in Software Asset Management, SAM Tools, and major software vendor experience.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written & oral) with the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Able to communicate complex ideas to senior business and Technology stakeholders.
  • Understanding of software licensing models and options particular for major software vendors such as Microsoft, IBM, SAP, or Oracle.
