Ballistic Liner Specialist

The Ballistic Liner Specialist is a key role in our production facility. We are seeking an individual with experience in surface preparation and adhesive bonding to join our team.

This position involves preparing and bonding ballistic protection liners to armoured vehicles and components. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, good computer skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. They will also need to hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Some of the day-to-day tasks include:

  • Bonding liners to armoured vehicles and components to the required Adhesive Bonding Standard;
  • Assisting engineers with process compliance and ensuring all work areas meet the necessary safety and quality standards;
  • Surface preparation and pretreatment of armour steel assemblies prior to surface coatings;
  • Achieving certification as a European Adhesives Bonder (EAB) as per Adhesive Bonding Standard requirements;
  • Management of lining booth work areas and tooling - ensuring compliance with the Adhesive Bonding Standard requirements;
  • Management of adhesives and materials to OHS requirements and the Adhesive Bonding Standard;
  • Supporting engineering teams with process start up and continuous improvement activities.
