Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead a national biotech platform from inception, shaping strategy and driving commercialization to deliver impact.

The role requires a credible and respected leader with strong reputation in life sciences, biotechnology, or related manufacturing sectors.

This is a rare opportunity to build organisational capability and culture from scratch, leading commercialisation pathways for high-value IP and research assets, and overseeing operational interface with a dedicated GMP manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has executive leadership experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, health tech, or life sciences ventures, with demonstrated success in commercialisation, technology transfer, or clinical development.

They should have deep understanding of regulatory, GMP, or scale-up environments, confidence in engaging with Chief Scientists, research institutes, and board-level stakeholders, and a PhD or other advanced qualifications in a relevant scientific or technical field (strongly regarded).

The successful candidate will be strategically sharp and operationally grounded, able to set vision and walk the floor when needed.
