The role of Senior Fraud Analyst is pivotal in driving our organization's efforts to combat fraudulent activity. This individual will lead the charge in collecting and analyzing data related to claims and industry trends, ensuring that insights are shared effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Intelligence Development: Assist in crafting intelligence products that provide actionable business insights into fraud systems and investigation outcomes.
- Decision-Support Services: Deliver timely and accurate information to support informed decision-making across investigation teams.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities through rigorous risk assessment practices, translating insights into tactical projects and detection designs.
- Intelligence Assessments: Develop relevant and timely assessments for C&A leadership, informing strategic direction regarding fraud controls.
- Fraud Typology Analysis: Monitor, test, review, and report monthly on emerging fraud typologies, compiling an annual report in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Trend Analysis: Prepare reports and present oral briefings on industry fraud trends.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with Intelligence Analysts in daily reviews of potentially fraudulent claims and assist the Head of Fraud & Claims Investigations in delivering counter-fraud services.
- Knowledge Enhancement: Proactively access information systems and intelligence sources to enhance fraud risk insights.
- Emerging Risks: Collaborate with underwriting to identify and report emerging fraud risks promptly.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification: A tertiary qualification in intelligence, data analytics, or justice studies is essential.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in data intelligence and statistical analysis, particularly in fraud investigations and research, is crucial.
- Business Acumen: Ability to convert data analysis into clear business recommendations, articulating risks and opportunities in ROI terms.
- Technical Skills: Experience using OSINT tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as well as analytics and visualization tools like SAS and PowerBI.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in insurance or financial services is highly desirable.
