Job Title: Mental Health Nurse Consultant

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse Consultant to provide expert clinical guidance and support across various healthcare settings. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capacity of medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver safe, compassionate care for patients with complex mental health needs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field
  • Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed
  • Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in mental health
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert Mental health knowledge to provide safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership capabilities with the ability to provide consultancy advice, education, and support within a mixed clinical environment of health professionals, medical staff, and students
